Master of the Ocean, day 5: THE FINALS

Master Of the Ocean Day 5 FinalsIt’s Independence Day here in the Dominican Republic, the whole town of Cabarete just exudes its patriotism and what a good time to presence innovation, hard work and talent in the water. All athletes save the date for the Worlds Championship for watermen and women, Master of the Ocean. With a sunny mood, you can breathe the beach air and smell the competition.

The conditions are optimal to begin with SUP and surf sessions. The public gets comfy under the palm trees and share comments on who’s their favorite and who’s going to win. The music is at its level and the competition kicks off with some serious action, each heat more intense than the last. The more they advance, the more clear it becomes which athletes feel more under control.

Sharing moments with these, we got to chat with Venezuelan Francisco Hernandez who spoke to us about his experience in the event:

“My specialty is SUP, therefore for these heats I managed to get what I expected, nevertheless the conditions were hard for me at some points. I managed to get into the finals with good scores thanks to our teams strategy. We’ve felt good with our outcome in the event. We want to thank the organizers for the opportunity and hope to continue competing in the future. Today’s the last day and the main plan is to wrap it up with some good vibes!”

With style and elegance, all athletes gave the crowd the show they were looking for. Something they will never forget. Leaving them with a desire for more coming from Master of the Ocean.
